Happy New Year

As the "Old Man of 2008" passes on the torch to the "New Born Child of 2009", it is time to remember loving family and friends that have touched our lifes. Reflecting back on were we have been, and looking forward to what our future journey holds in store for us all. Each of us will travel into 2009 from a different point in life. Our paths may take us in different directions, but the love in our hearts will always keep us close. We wish you all a safe and wonderful New Year, and may the kiss of the New Year bring nothing less then the deepest love and happiness possible.

"Thirty Two Years" How The Years have Flown

After thirty-two years together, there is know more fitting symbol then the "Two Turtle Doves". Our LOVE and FAITHFULNESS to one another, grows stronger as everyday passes. Like the "Turtle Doves", from the time they become mated pairs their life together is bound forever.

As we look back over those years, it reminds us of a one of the oldest and best known love poems: "My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land" (Song Sol 2:10-12 King James).

A Night Filled With Lights

It wouldn't be the official holiday season without seeing the glistening lights. With our bellies full from a nice dinner outing, we bundled up in our winter attire and off we went. First stop was the Gallivan Center, so festive were the lights and the ice skaters looking so smooth out on that rink. With a “HOT” Starbucks in hand, the lights lead us up Main Street towards the luminous lightening, of Temple Square. We couldn't help wonder would they let a Catholic girl in, and what about her Starbucks hot blend?
It was a beautiful sight!!! So heartwarming seeing all the families, young and old couples walking hand in hand, and the young children in amazement as they tried to take in this overwhelming array of lights.

Walking Our Favorite Trail

It is December and we have lucked out with unseasonably nice weather. We still are able to take Uni on our favorite walking trail. It is a peaceful walk. A variety of birds to be seen, deer leaping through the brush, red fox scampering through the meadows, and always on look out for that cougar that is lurking nearby. These sounds of nature surround us with a sense of serenity, and the peaceful flow of “Kayscreek” lifts any worries, carrying them downstream.
